Mattie P. Rudinow

Jack and Mattie were our neighbors for 15 years on Petaluma Hill Road. Our living room was the egg candling and crating room associated with their chicken ranch. As we were first time home owners, Jack and Mattie were invaluable in educating us about how to care for country property. Our son Todd was welcome to pick raspberries from Mattie's garden and we were the happy recipients of many of her pies and goodies. I recall meaningful conversations at their kitchen table and Jack coming to our rescue in every flood and storm that landed terrified deer and a Rottweiler in our pool. One could not ask for better neighbors. Mattie and Jack will always live in our hearts and minds. They made this world a better place and will be missed and never forgotten.
Joel, Dita and Ann,
So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I still have fond memories of going to the Nutcracker with her for several years at Christmas, and trips to the Co op store. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, cannot make service, but wanted you to know what a wonderful, interesting person I thought she was
Mrs. Rudinow was my kindergarten teacher back in 1965 at San Miguel School in Santa Rosa, CA. Almost 50 years later, I still remember her as being my favorite teacher. I have very fond memories of her, and shared them with my boys when they were that age. She was a remarkable lady and will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers to her family.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.
