Kathy,Rick and Marsha, I will always have found memories of Max. Especially, I will remember how he played the marimba, even with four hammers or whatever they are called. I would love to hear from one of you.
My deepest sympathy in this time of loss. I hold you in my prayerful thoughts.
Rick and Marsha,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It has been so many years since we've seen or talked to you guys. We did not know dad had dementia. Bob's mom has age related dementia. I see you have three grand babies. Congratulations.
Again our sincerest sympathies. Barb and Bob Duckwall
Dear Kathryn and Rick
It was with sadness I read the obituary in the Marion Chronicle Tribune this week of Max's passing.
Our Marion Rotary Club lost two great members when your family moved south. Max, as well as Rick and E.B. were faithful members who strived hard to maintain perfect attendance, were always ready to take on responsibility, and truly placed the principal of Service Above Self as a priority in their lives. I am pretty sure I remember Kathryn's induction as a Paul Harris Fellow.
I enjoyed my professional relationship to the Pierce family as their family doctor. Kathryn, you always perked up my day during your office visits.
I will have the family in my prayers during this stressful time. May God bless you all.
James Botkin MD
Max was one of the nicest people I have ever known, he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
