Heartbreaking to lose someone so young who had such a zest for life. Michael will be thought of and missed for a long time.
Michael and I were close friends in high school. Such a long time ago when we shared an understanding of how very big and diverse the world really was. I loved watching his talent unfold and his life blossom from my location on the other side of the country. I'm very glad he was here to bring grace and happiness to those of us who knew him as well as those who only knew him through his music.
Michael had a wonderful, dry sense of humor and a contagious smile. He was a wonderful colleague, masterful at what he did and with much integrity. And Michael was generous with his time, his thoughtfulness and his compassion. After one of his trips to Greece, Michael gave me a decanter of hand-pressed olive oil from his and Antonios' Greek property. I have had that little decanter now for three years. I keep it refilled and use it frequently. It always makes me feel a connection to Michael. I miss you Michael.
Michael made me laugh so many times over the years, and I cherished him for it. He often just said the words "you'll never know" to me, which was enough to put a smile on my face. He was my financial advisor, entertainment and helpful colleague, and I will miss him.
A terrific colleague and a truly nice guy with a great, dry sense of humor. We are very sorry for your loss.
