Mrs. Crosby was my principal at Billingsville. She was a dynamo of love, affection and compassion. She had one of those personalities and spirits that stay with you long after direct interaction has ceased.
In some way, I owe my professional and civic path to her and others who provided understanding of the importance of helping those in proximity while reaching back for others who need a hand.
Mrs.Crosby(called Miss Crosby with all due respect)was everyone's teacher at Lincoln Heights. She made you feel so special whenever in her presence.
So much can be said as to how she influenced a positive learning experience.
Thanks Miss Crosby for being there at the beginning of my educational experience.
Mrs Crosby taught me in the second grade at Pineville School. She was teacher I always think of and want to be remembered as she was.
I wish I had known she was here in Houston because I would love to have seen her often.
Mr and Mrs Crosby often entertained my parents and me in their home. Often spent time with her after church. They were lovely people.
Mrs Crosby was a wonderful teacher and someone I wanted to pattern my life after.
She lit up the world with her smile. As a student at Billingsville Ele. in the early 70's I witnessed first hand how hard she worked to bring all "her babies" together. At that time I was being bullied by other students, she saw it and reached out to me. She invited me to eat lunch with her in her office often just to check in and support me in any way she could. This changed my life! Someone saw me, cared about me, and loved me the way only Kat could. She was a GREAT woman and friend. I was blessed to know her. All my love to her family. Shelly Graham
A beautiful woman with a beautiful smile has a beautiful resting place. We should all be so blessed.
