My sincere sympathy to each of you. I only knew Phyllis a short time, but had a nice visit with her at Eastern Star and found her to be a thankful caring person. She expressed how much she has been blessed and how proud she was of her family. I can see how she touched many lives and will be remembered with such fondness.
Dear Adrienne, and all of the family.
Your Mother was so sweet and loving. I can hear her "giggle" and just see how beautiful she was dressed in her authentic Norwegian costume. My Mother, Jan Berg, is also a good friend of Georgann. Our thoughts are with you all as you prepare to say goodbye to Phyllis.
Sincerely, Kristi Berg Gilbert and Jan Berg
Phyllis was such a lovely person, in every way, shape, and form. Classy and classic. A gem who will live forever in the hearts and minds of all she touched. My sympathies go out to you.
I feel so lucky to have gotten to know Phyllis and for all the wonderful stories she shared with me over the years about her history with Luther College. It was a real pleasure that we were able to include her in our Journey Portraits project during the Sesquicentennial and her portrait hangs outside my office where I see it every day. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on for many, many years.
My sincere sympathy.
I always enjoyed any encounter with Phyllis. On the street or the beauty parlor her cheerfulness was an added blessing to each day.
