Dear John, Carole and Jean, and Family
I was so saddened to read the news of your mother's death. She was an amazing lady. Definitely one of those special individuals that just knowing her made my life the better for it. She was so positive.
Anyone who new Ruth, knew the abject love and pride she had for her three terrific children, John, Carole, and Jean.
Many students can attest to the love they share for that sweet, soft-spoken teacher that so many children benefited from over the years of her teaching first grade
I was honored to serve her and Mayor John as their Eye Doctor for many years. This is where I witnessed another amazing trait of Ruth. She suffered a “stoke” the magnitude of which would have caused many folks to “throw in the towel” …but not Ruth. Be it labeled resilient or toughness she fought her way back to a level that few patients achieve following similar neurological insult.
I'll always remember her smile as she was reaching for the latest pictures of her kids and grandchildren
She will be sorely missed, but when I remember Ruth it will be with a smile.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers
Dr. Mike R. Mohn
Ruth and I got to know one another in the Highlands' water exercise classes. What a remarkable woman; intelligent, warm and caring. She talked glowingly about her children and grandchildren. Ruth had her physical problems but she was like the energizer bunny--she just kept on going. My deepest sympathy to her family.
So sorry...when we would visit my Uncle Eddie at The Highlands, if it was lunch or dinner, we would always stop and say hello to Mary Jo and your Mom. She always had a big smile for everyone!
Our sympathies to your whole family,
Barry and Colleen (Ciemiewicz) Ulrich
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. Pincavage was my first grade teacher in 1980, and by far one of my favorites. She was so special and had a way of making us all feel special as well. She will truly be missed!
My mother called today with the news and I wanted to tell you how sorry we are to hear about Ruth. She was an amazing woman, a class act, and she'll be missed.
Best wishes to John, Carole and the girls
