I just found out about CDR Marshalls death today while reading my Fleet Reserve Magazine. I met him in l963 in Waterloo Iowa and worked with him in the Naval Reserve both in Waterloo and Mason City. He gave me good advice regarding my military career and also my personal life. I stopped in Ackley, Iowa to see him many years ago but he was out of his office. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
I still have the Black's Law Dictionary and hand
written note Uncle Stan gave me when I
graduated from the University of Denver College
I smiled whenever I looked at the book.
I was saddened to hear of Stan's passing. I will always remember Stan for helping me apply and be accepted to Navy OCS at Newport, which was a huge turnaround in my life. He was also a good friend to my parents and my sisters, not just with legal service, but also providing advice and thoughtfulness. I am sorry that I did not learn of his death until today. Best wishes and condolences to the family.
So sorry to hear of your father's passing, love to all of you and to all the family members.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Just wish we could be there for the service.
