Thomas Evans Watts, Sr. 1926 - 2013

Thomas Evans Watts, Sr.

March 13, 2014
Yes, it is too bad that Tommy has left us. I worked for him back in the 1950 part-time while I was still in high school. My mother sold shoes at Watts for years, and our family attended the First Baptist Church with him and his family. The Watts family has a history in helping build Camden to what it once was and his kind will not come our way again....

Weegie, Tombo, Susan and Family,
I was saddened to learn of Mr. Watts
passing.
He was a kind, wonderful, caring employer and became a good friend to Don and I.
He will truly be missed by his church family too because he loved serving the Lord.
He will surely be missed by so many friends and loved ones.

To the Watts Family
I am so sorry for your loss. I am very honored to have worked for him as one of my first accounting jobs so many years ago. I enjoyed very much the time I spent in that job and learned so much from him about work and life in general. He was an excellent teacher and boss. I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to visit with him a few years ago at my mother's visitation. I will always remember looking up and seeing his smiling face. I felt so honored to see him after not seeing him in so many years. Definitely a pleasant impact that he would take the time to come and give his heartfelt condolences and visit with me. My prayers are with your entire family as I know how hard it is to lose such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. May The Lord be with you, comfort you and give you peace and strength to go through the days ahead.

Tombo, Susan, and family,
I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Watts was a very special person that I've always remembered. A ready smile, great personality, and a wonderful asset to the Camden business community and the community in general. A huge loss for Camden and the surrounding area.
