William L. Bird

Marilyn & Family. I am truly shocked to find on the net the passing of Bill. No one notified me of his passing and I feel very badly about that factor. Please know that others share in your loss. He was a great man, father, grandfather and husband. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. I extend my sympathy from all the Henry Hoch Families around the US. Dear Marilyn,

I have such a special memory of the first time I met Bill when he came to Fowler High School to teach. That was a long time ago, but it seems like yesterday. Our entire staff at that time was composed of relatively young teachers and we had such fun! We must have been a handful for Mr. McConnell, our principal, but we were all dedicated to our subject and none more than Bill! I was saddened to see him not looking well at the reunion lat summer, but he was there! I had no idea how serious his illness was. You have Don's and my sincere sympathy and you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. I am grateful to Mary Moore for calling to tell me of your loss. We were all good friends for that brief time I was in Fowler, and Bill was very special. Your family is evidence of Bill's dedication as each member has been blessed by his and your love. May your memories comfort you in the days ahead.
