No person in Northwest Georgia has given more of their time and put more of their heart in making our area greater than Bill Marshall. He always had that caring hand that gave confidence to others to follow him as he lead. All our communities will miss him.

Prayers and blessings to all his family who he spoke of often and obviously loved very much.

I only knew Bill for a couple of years, but I was impressed with his knowledge and love of the area he lived in. I wish I had met him much sooner. He could tell a story!

Bill was a bright and thoughtful man. I enjoyed working with him in Georgia's Historic High Country Travel Association. His enthusiasm for his community and region shined through in everything that he did. His sweet smile will certainly be missed. May God comfort his family in the days ahead.

We are stunned and saddened to learn of Bill's passing. We first met Bill 20 years ago when we joined Lookout Mountain Parkway assoc. Bill was a wonderful, dedicated man who cared as much about the environment as he did about those living in it. Such a paragon will truly be missed, but will live on in our hearts.
