Bill was a fine man. In many classes we sat beside each other because they set us alphabetically. We drove to Springfield together to be sworn in before the Illinois Supreme Court. Bill said he needed a couple of minutes and would be wait and we did, in the gallery of the House of Representatives. Bill was talking with a gentleman on the floor for a few minutes, came back and we went over to the Capital Builing. The fellow that was with us asked what that was all about and Bill said "we were discussing the butterfat content in ice cream." He was a fine man and I am said at his passing.
