Emilia M. Santos-Silva

SANTOS-SILVA, Emilia M. Age 86, of Medford, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Eufemio, formerly of Cape Verde Island. Survived by sisters, Celeste and Maria Luisa of Lisbon, Portugal; step-mother of Lady, Eleanor, and Luciene of Portugal; loving mother of son, Jose Nelson and wife Gail of CA, daughter, Filomena de Fatima and husband Carlo Cutillo of Medford, son, Francisco and wife Monika of TN, son, Augusto of Waltham, son, Emanuel and wife Stephanie of KS, daughters, Ana and Rosa of Boston. Devoted grandmother of Dominick, Crystal, Jennifer, Caleb, Joshua, Emily, Ana Filomena, Cristina, Julian, and 8 loving great grandchildren. Also, grandmother of the late SFC Carlos M. Santos-Silva and his wife Kristen. Her devotion to her faith, her friends, and her adopted country was exemplary. She will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit on Monday, January 17, 2011, from 3 to 7 pm at St. Joseph Church, 114 High St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 9 am, Tuesday, January 18, 2011, followed by Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.
