I decided to have a get together tonight here in Boston primarily because my youngest son Gabe was in India with his dad and wasn't able to attend my fathers funeral in NJ. There were many people there from different decades of my life and at some point we all sat around while my ex-husband Dan, myself, and my 2 sons remembered and painted a picture of this courageous, calm, loving and generous man who transcended intense trauma and was able to be there present for his family. This tribute tonight was a true example of how special and unique my father was. I am really glad that I celebrated his life in this way; created a memorial of this man that my friends will hold in their hearts for a long time.

Marushka is my dear friend and adopted sister. Her father was the center of her universe growing up, and she was his. Arnold will be missed deeply by her, and by her kids, Gabriel and Jeremy, and by her mom. I hope all of you can find comfort in your memories of the time you spent with Arnold. May he rest in peace.

Dear Adele and Marushka, Jeremy and Gabe -- I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather. I've always felt connected to Arnold because he shared my father's name and age. Marushka and I spent many conversations talking about our dads, with great pride and joy.

My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Lyn Rosoff

I was a friend of Marushka many years ago in elementary and junior high school. I remember sleep overs and being with her Mom and Dad. Mr. Glissen was a beautiful man. Although Marushka and I have not been in touch for many years she and her mom and family have my heartfelt sympathy.
