I just found out yesterday that my friend Helen passed away in January of this year - I have been thinking of her and wondering why I hadn't heard from Helen and saw on the computer she passed away. John, Michael & Sara and your families - I am so sorry for you all - Helen was a wonderful person - we shared many times together - having met at Algonquin College years ago as students.
Helen and I shared many stories of our lives - she fought her cancer with dignity and strength. Helen I will miss you so much. Love Bev. Follett

I am struggling to comprehend the loss of my very special friend. Having uncharacteristically not heard news from you for an extended period of time, despite leaving messages, I reservedly went looking for you....to find you here. So typically Helen, you have slipped away without wanting to bother me....and deprived me of wishing you well.
In grade 7 you pulled me from my shell with your unique mixture of cute sassiness and spanish phrases. You kept me breathless through high school with your brazen beauty and class, always looking for another charity cause to give of yourself even at that early age.
Finding you again at the high school reunion was a precious gift. Being able to follow the pleasures of your life and view from afar the love you shared in the success and growth of your family over these last few years has brought me comfort in knowing that you were so happy, despite your challenges.
Goodbye classy lady. Thank you for enrichening my life with your friendship.

Dear John and Family;
I have just heard of Helen's passing and wanted to send you my sincerest condolenses for your loss. I was in touch with Helen a few years ago and it was so good to re connect over dinner after such a long time. We were able to re kindle so many good memories, catch up on the many years apart and laugh and hug again..as my high school friend she was like a sister. She shared with me her love and joys with you and with all the family.
It is sad to hear she has passed on, I am truly sorry for your loss. I know she is in a more comfortable place, free of any pain and looking down on us all till we meet again..

As two colleagues from the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre, we were saddened to hear of Helen's passing.We had the privilege of working with Helen on the Young Adult Team many years ago.We remember her as a graceful lady, full of caring who always had time for others,to listen,to provide support or to share a laugh.
She was very dedicated to her clients and even to this day , many continue to speak highly of Helen and the help that she provided to them.
She was well respected and appreciated by colleagues and clients.
Helen often spoke of the love for her family and her pride in her children.
Our sincere condolences to her loved ones.
We remember Helen with much fondness.
