Ervin Schroeder

SCHROEDER, ERVIN MENNO Ervin Menno Schroeder was born in Drake to Ulrich and Margaret (Bartel) Schroeder on September 13, 1937. He attended school in Drake and completed his Grade 12. During this time he was baptized and became a member of the North Star Mennonite Church. Ervin was a wonderful carpenter. He spent several winters in Alberta at various jobs involving carpentry. Each spring he would return to the farm to help his father and later would take over the family farm. Ervin was a friend to all. He spent many hours traveling to surrounding communities for a visit at the local coffee shop. Due to failing health, Ervin was admitted to the Royal University Hospital where he passed away on August 2, 2011, reaching the age of 73. He leaves to mourn his sister-in-law, Elsie Schroeder and niece, Karen (Lloyd) Greve and their three daughters, Lindsay, Jordan and Kirstin. He was pre-deceased by his mother Margaret in 1959, father Ulrich in 1979, brother John in 2005 and twin sisters in infancy. Lovingly we commit him to his eternal reward. A Memorial Service will be held in North Star Mennonite Church, Drake, Saskatchewan on Friday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. Private Family Interment in Drake Cemetery.
