Brian Arthur Swihart

SWIHART, Brian Arthur August 10, 1963 November 15, 2010 It is with deep sadness we announce Brian passed away at the Cowichan and District Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Brian was born in Trail, B.C. and moved to Duncan with his family when he was six. He was a passionate Canucks fan and liked cooking, computers and vegetable gardening. He took particular delight growing flowers for his mother to enjoy. Brian enjoyed challenges, like creating a sprinkling system for his plants. Brian appreciated and was grateful for the friendships and support of his coworkers at Millstone Heating. Brian was predeceased by his dad, Mervin, and will fondly and lovingly be remembered by his son, Ian Blom, his mom, Florence Swihart, sister Sandra McKinlay, nephew and neice, Arthur and Natalie McKinlay, his close friend Candace Easthom, his Aunt Georgie and Uncle John and numerous cousins. Brian's family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the second floor of the CDH for their kind and compassionate care. A service for Brian will be held at the Moose Lodge, 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. 610309
