How our hearts ache with mixed emotions for those family members who remain. What we do know is that Neils' final song rings in our hearts with a resounding yes! Thou art great God.

I loved Neil, but even more so I felt an unconditional love that Neil extended to me. He had those qualities that are important in a friendship. Neil always showed enthusiasm when I would come to visit him. He made me feel like I was his bestest friend. Neil shared his friends with me. He introduced me to Tommy, Pete, Big Jim, Andrea, Diane, and others. Neil showed me kindness and I knew that he appreciated things. He would always thank me after bringing him a milkshake. And, boy did he like those!!:) He always had a big bear hug for me. Neil had an appreciation for the little things in life that are quite possibly not so little in the grand scheme of life. He would marvel at a beautiful flower, a picture of an animal, a smiling baby...
I am very much going to miss my buddy. I thank God that He gave me the gift of Neil's friendship.
