Gale Mishoulam Gallagher, age 54; beloved wife of the late David; loving mother of Ryan (Lauren), Sean, Danny and Katie; devoted daughter of Albert and Aronette Mishoulam; dear sister of Kathie (Kevin) Kahle and Louie (Caryn) Mishoulam; fond aunt of many; cherished friend of Anne, Michael and Kassie Wallace. Long-standing school board member of Homewood School District 153. Funeral TODAY, 10:30 a.m. at Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 Western, Olympia Fields, IL. 60461. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, Il. Memorial contributions to Temple Anshe Sholom or Cancer Support Center (cancersupportcenter.org) would be appreciated. Katie - I never had a chance to meet you - your Mom and I were trying to plan something together, but then she got sick. I knew both of your parents, we went to school together at Eastern in 70s. They were wonderful people and made an adorable couple. My condolences to you and your brothers.

Dear Gallagher Children,
Your mom was considered a "champion" by me and many other teachers working in Homewood SD 153. Her dedication to our schools, and in particular, the early childhood programs was inspirational. We could always count on your mom for support as we worked together to create innovative programming for the youngest learners.
I remember meeting some of you when your mom would volunteer your services at Pre-Kindergarten evening events. Whatever was needed, Gale's children, just like her, stepped in to help. By her example, she taught you one of life's most precious gifts...generosity.
My sincere condolences to you, your grandparents, extended family, and the Wallace family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers,
