I entered DePaul Graduate School in 1985 and am honored to have had him for both business law and organizational behavior. Things I learned from him I have carried with me my whole career. I can honestly say he was the most influential teacher I ever had. He taught me how being curious was an incredible advantage, that learning should be life long and that you should never stop that journey. Thank you for your inspiration and God bless you and your family.

Professor Murray encouraged me to go to law school as an undergraduate at DePaul University. 10 years later, I am enrolled in law school and attribute that goal to his encouragement.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.

Professor Murray changed my life. If he had not taken the time to show me that i was going to make it, I'm not sure where I would be. I have so much sadness over his loss, and I pray deeply for the family. Jurate, I pray for you and little Michael. I pray that God will get you through this time. Professor Murray loved you so much, and I was glad to have shared even a little time with him. I thank God that he shared him with us here at Depaul. Please don't hesitate to call if you ever need anything at all.

I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know (but not well enough) Michael through the Vincentian Mission Institute, a collaboration between DePaul, St. Johns and Niagara University. Michael had a great ability to bring people together and find common ground. He also had a very calming presence which allowed people from very different backgrounds to feel comfortable with one another. Our VMI experience was so great because of people like Michael. All of his friends at NU were deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies and know that we appreciated the time that his family allowed him to spend with us. He will be greatly missed. Dave Taylor (Niagara University)

Dear Jurate,
We send our condolences and truly wish we didn't have to do this. Mike was very special to us and he and Ben go back a long time. You must have so much pain now, but it is your job to make a happy home for your son, and you will, for sure. We will see you soon.
Love, Joyce and Ben
