Although I did not know your daughter, I learned of her through the documentary shown this evening at Mount Mercy University sponsored by NOW. Her bright smile was beautiful. Please know there are many people across the country working towards justice in unjust college campus policies.

As a devoted fan of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College, I can say I have never been this sad over the death of someone. I will keep the Seebergs in my prayers during this Christmas season and other times too. I have cried numerous times about Elizabeth, despite not knowing her personally in life. I can relate because I too have suffered with depression.
God Bless the Seebergs, Elizabeth and Saint Mary's College for working with them during this crisis.

I met Lizzy while in Hawaii earlier this year. She was leaving a few weeks after I got there, but we got to talking when we realized we both had gone to Gbn. Lizzy gave me hope that I'd be home one day. My friend Emma was really struggling, and Lizzy sat and talked with her for over an hour. After that talk, Emma was a different person. She became stronger, wiser, and committed to getting help. Lizzy may have helped save that girls life. I wish I had gotten to Hawaii sooner and gotten to know Lizzy, but the people who had known her knew she was something special. When leaving Hawaii, she had hope. She was strong and determined. Even though I barelly knew her, I will not forget her.

"I recently read an article online about the death of your daughter and felt compelled to give my condolences. You see, I too lost my daughter tragically and eventhough their deaths were vastly different, the pain and sadness and anger are the same. Eventhough I'm not a religious person, though I do believe in God and the hereafter, I truly believe that our daughters souls and spirits are now together in an amazing place and they are safe from the evils of this world. I know your pain and anger are strong, but time will ease them. They will never go away, but you will learn to live with it and adjust. Once again, my heart goes out to you and your family. We will be with our little girls again."

A pebble touches water and then is gone. The brief splash creates energy that continues to move across the water long after the pebble has disappeared.
Sadly, I did not know Lizzie. Yet, she has rippled across my life and she has been in my thoughts for many days.
May you find peace in the knowledge that your special daughter still ripples over water, touching many lives.

I know what it's like to lose someone you love very close to you. I just saw the news story on Sunday on WSBT. I was heartbroken and shattered by the story I have heard. If she can't help the people on earth, then I know she will help them out in heaven. I am sending my condolences to the Seeburg family. Because I feel your pain 110%. I lost my mother 9 days later. Best of luck to you.

I was not lucky enough to know Lizzy as well as others did, including my younger brother. Lizzy was a leader on his Kairos and in our community of faith. my brother Peter has been forever changed by her leadership and inspiration. I will always be in debt to her for touching my brother's life. I know she is an angel for another young girl out there looking for guidance and love.

Dear Mary and Tom and family,
I attended Lizzie's beautiful Mass of the Resurrection today, with my daughter Amelia, also a freshman at Saint Mary's. As a fellow parent, I cannot find words to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of a child, a sister, a friend, a classmate. Though neither Amelia or I had yet the opportunity to meet you or your daughter at school, I felt Lizzie's radiant smile upon us all as the sun shined through the sacristy during mass. Know that there are kindred hearts among strangers who by chance became family at Saint Mary's. That is why we came today to celebrate her life in Christ. God called us to raise our children up in the way they should go---and you did just that. Her absence will be felt deeply by her friends and classmates. Look for the rainbow after the storm, and know that we wait and watch with you. Peace in Christ,
Mary and Amelia Bauer

We are so saddened and heartbroken at the loss of your lovely Lizzy! She lived a life of love, and she will be sorely missed by so many people. She was always reaching out and helping others, and all of us in St. Norbert & Our Lady of the Brook Youth Ministry often benefited from her kind heart of stewardship. “… it was then that I carried you.” May God carry you through these difficult times through his angels on earth, your family and friends; and may he receive Lizzy into heaven to be your angel to watch over you from above.
