Ridgeland

Bobbie C. Packer, 81, of Ridgeland, MS passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in her home. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 - 7 pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:30am with visitation one hour prior. Funeral Service will be held in the Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Packer was an active member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church for over 45 years and served as a member of the Sunshine Ladies Sunday School class. She was a joy to her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Packer was a native of Eden, MS and is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Packer; and her parents, Joseph and Alice Clark.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Packer Robinson and husband, Keith; son, Michael Joe "Mickey" Packer; and grandson, John Clark Packer, all of Madison; as well as her in-laws; a host of nieces and nephews; and beloved caretakers, Julia Luckett and Shirley Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation to MS Chapter of the American Parkinson's Disease Association.

I was lucky to work with Bobbie in the Jackson Social Security office. She was a joy to work with, and always had a smile for everyone. She wrote like she talked -- FAST! -- and used a manual typewriter if she had to write more than a few words. My thoughts and prayers are with the family she loved so much.
