While I did not have the privilege of knowing your father, I know of your deep love for your family. My own dad died last year; the loss of a loving parent is profound. You are your father's tribute; I know he is still caring for your family from afar and so proud of his daughter.

Dear Karen, Your father was a very special person in my life. Without his teachings I might never have known what creativity was about. Because of his faith in me I am a full time painter and will be until I have painted as many paintings as Picasso had. That's what Mr Eterovich would have liked. We will all miss him.

Dear Karen,
I will always remember dancing with your dad at your wedding (he was so light on his feet!) and the great picture he took of us standing in front of his painting. I'm so glad I got to know him, and I know he'll always be in your heart. Please know that my thoughts, prayers and love are with you all.

Condolences to you Karen, and to your mom (with whom I have shared correspondences over the years, during Christmas and in celebration of our Leo birthdays (!)), and the rest of your family. I am in remembrance of last year's Christmas card from your parents, from one of your father's paintings, a card that deeply affected me with its colorful beauty -- angels-!

I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. In addition to his art work and his influence on his students, his great legacy is a loving family. Love to all of you.

Mr. Eterovich taught me how to draw portraits at Lincoln High and had a profound affect on my love of art-more so than any other art teacher. I will always remember him.
April 27, 2011
Although I was not in one of his classes at Lincoln, I was in the art program - and Mr Eterovich was a well respected art teacher. I don't think people realize how much their teachers help shape their lives - till they actually reflect back, and imagine the difference without them. My deepest sympathy to all of your family. And please know he did make a difference in the lives of many. My name makes no difference - as I know I'm one of many, extending both thankfulness, sympathy and prayers.
