TIMKO, Marjorie A. "Marge" (nee Yates) 65, of Boydton, VA, died Dec. 31, 2011, at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA, following a hard fought battle with the rare disease HLH. Marge was born Dec. 26, 1946, to Elmer and Ruby Yates. She resided in Dayton, OH, before moving to Boydton, VA in 2001. Marge was known for her sense of humor; and was a passionate advocate for the elderly, devoting her career to geriatric care & nutrition, and was a keynote speaker for the care of Alzheimer's patients. She enjoyed employment at Hospice of Dayton, Maria-Joseph Care Center and Trinity Nursing Home, to name a few. While in VA, she pioneered an exercise & nutritionally based treatment program for childhood obesity and diabetes. She is survived by spouse, Helen Wesolowski; children, Lori (Mark) Schnitter, Cindy (Daniel) Bynum, Mike (Casey) Timko, and Brendan Wesolowski; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Yates and Caroline Siler, and brother, Steven Yates. She is preceded in death by parents Elmer and Mildred Yates, and Ruby Yates; and brother, Michael Yates. A memorial service will be held Sat., Jan. 14, at 12:30 at Ascension Church, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering, OH, followed by a gathering at Ascension. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for the research of HLH to: Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, P.O. Box 5202, Cincinnati, OH 45201

May her spirit continue to live through your stories and memories. Sharing with others what a wonderful woman she was will help heal that hole in your hearts. I too lost my father when I was just 20 yrs old & he was 55, so I can feel the pain & understand how much healing is to come. You all have my love & prayers!!!

Im so sorry for you loss. i remember your mom as a fun carefree person..i remember my times putting my finger prints on her glass table(on the bottom)... she would just laugh at me... i thought of her as my mom to. she was always quick with a laugh and a smile... she was a wonderful woman and cared for people more then i will ever understand. God bless her and all of you.
