Mark Kreusch Obituary

Mark Kreusch, 4, was killed Saturday, August 11, 2007 during an apparent boating accident at Lake Shawnee in Greene County.

The child died "instantaneously" as a result of "blunt trauma caused from actually being struck by the boat," Claude Lyons, administrator of the Greene County Coroner's office said .

Kreusch Family,
I will always remember Mark and his sweet little smiles. He was so much fun to watch at Nick's baseball games, and it was also fun to swim and play games with him in the pool. I will never forget the joy that he brought to me in his short life. You guys are, and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Kreusch Family, You don't know me, but I am a friend of Lori Henry's. I am so sorry about your son. A few years ago we lost our son Nicky in a car accident after I missed a stop sign at a confusing intersection. Nicky was almost 3. Your Marky sounds vibriant and wonderful. Hold on to that. You know as well as I that there is nothing I can say to ease your pain. Just know that you are in my prayers. Lean on each other and your faith and let your other children be a light in the darkness. If there is anything I can do for you, please have Lori contact me. Sincerely, Sheri Watkins Dublin, OH

Dear Jon and Suzie,
Our hearts are broken for you. Please know that you are in our constant prayers. I know there are no words to ease your pain. We have gone through the loss of our 4-year old daughter in June and do know your pain. It is one day at a time. Allow your family and friends to comfort you and take care of you. May prayers and the grace of God give you strength. Our deepest sympathy. ~ Kristin (I was a Sigma at Elon G'94.)

Dear Kreusch Family,
We have never met, in fact I do not even know you... My dear friend, Julie Papadis told me of your horrific tragedy and I wanted to let you know that you, your family and little Mark are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. We have two children and the thought that anything could happen to them is breath taking... I can only begin to imagine your deep sense of loss and grief. May his love and life stay in your hearts forever and know that he is an angel watching over your family, smiling from above. Take care of each other... this is the time you will need each other's love the most. With deepest sympathy,

Dear Jon and Suzie,
Our saddness mingles with yours in hearing of the loss of your little Mark. We pray that you will be comforted in knowing that you have your own little saint in Heaven watching over all of you. We have never met you, but we, like you, have been sent a very similar heavy cross. On just July 29th we lost our 19month old Monica by our own family vehicle. Our priest tells us that more souls will be in Heaven because of the loss we have to bear, especially if we cooperate with God's Will and believe He will not give us more that we can take. A card we received says: The soul in sorrow is as dear to God as the soul He has taken home. Our little ones are likely playing together in Heaven's delights! Our hearts ache with you. You'll be in our prayers.

We just heard about this tragic accident from the St. Simon prayer notice. We are so sorry we did not learn of it sooner to share our condolences at the services. There are no words that will make it easier or even answer "why". Just know that we are here for you, and you have the support and love of your friends and family when you need it. God Bless you and all your family.
