My Grandmother Merlene is one amazing lady. She always did so much for others. It gave her joy to help others no matter how big or small the favor would be, and ask nothing in return. I can think of no other person that I've known, (or wish to have met) that possessed so many great qualities. She was always someone I admired as a child. And as I grew older and more mature, more aware of how varied the human spirit can be, my Grandmother was always a perfect example of how I thought we should all strive to be. She will be missed here on Earth, but will always and forever be in our hearts and thoughts. A reminder to be a good person, help one another, and to live your life to the fullest. As a side note, I still do not know how she managed to get everyone a birthday card, on time, every year. I looked at her calendar, every day had anywhere from three to six names. (and sometimes more) Also, she made or baked: the best bread, rolls, pancakes, christmas candies, and too many other things to mention. Love you Grandma!

We will miss dear Sister Collard! What a wonderful friend and neighbor she has been. Our visits to Nephi won't be the same without her friendly face and conversation. May the peace of our Savior be with you during this time of loss. Much love!

I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Sister Collard also of spending many hours up the apricot tree in the fall. She will surely be missed. My prayers are with you.
