Its hard to understand many of the places that life takes us or what that same life will take away? Its already been 10 years though it also seems like yesterday. So much has changedI have changed. Id like to believe that its been mostly for the better, but sometimes, I just dont know? What I do know, is that I miss you Brian. I miss the times that we never got to have or that we could be having now. I would have really liked to have seen where you were going to grow & developin life & as an artist. You would have been a great uncle as wellI am sure of it & so many other things! Until we meet again Brian, may you continue to live within our hearts, minds & memories! May you forever be

Brian,
I am in St. Louis, where I was when I heard that you had passed. I think of you often and pray for you and your family. I know Justice will be served, God will take care of you and your family. You are so loved and missed Brian.

Kathy, Ben and I have you in our thoughts. Words are always so inadequate to express our sorrow for your loss. We think of you often and say a prayer for you when we do. To say that "time is the only healer" sounds so trite. We know that he will never be forgotten and that he is in a happier place. We pray for peace for you and justice for Brian.

It hurts deeply to find out of this tragedy. Although we had lost contact the past few years i have always considered you my brother. Our lives took us in different directions but you were always on my mind. I am so glad to see you were still pursuing your love after all these years. I will forever keep you in my heart brother. Brian,
I am the person I am today because of you. You taught me a lot of life lessons, and I am full of regret for never thanking you. When I met you so many years ago I saw a burning and desire in your soul to do something more with life than just live it. You wanted to experience all of life’s adventures, you wanted to create, and most important you wanted to inspire. It makes my heart happy to know that you were living that life. You will forever be in my heart.

Well here it is what words can't say, the attempt. Brian my friend my brother. You, a man to show so many a world not so painfully obvious, a man willing to take a chance and share those experiences, self-less. You were one who gave me the push i needed on several occasions, helped me believe in my self and talents. You helped so many stand strong and united so many who otherwise would have known no other way. I love u bro and will forever hold the dream and you deep in my heart

There was a time when I was in a bad place in life, no place to go--no hope left in the tank. Luckily for me, I had an Aunt that gave me a place to stay and a cousin willing, or maybe not at first, to share his room with me, until I got on the road back to a better place. And for about a year his room was my room too. I'd work during the day, while he went to school, either way, bed time was always a mutually set time to meet both our needs. Many weekends would be spent cheering on my cousin as he raced BMX locally and nationally. He was definitely a competitor and put serious effort into doing the things that he loved doing. A month before I enlisted into the Marine Corps, we took a trip up north to visit our Grandparents. Just "Grandpa's Boyz" and the road! That was a while back and life sent us off doing different things over the years, but I spoke to him this Dec 08. He made it a point to tell me about how much I inspired him to get into art and to be organized. I'd say by his body of work, that it's me that has been inspired... You and I will always be Grandpa's Boyz, and I am going to miss you very much Brian!

Your Cousin,

To Brian’s family: I can only say how much I will miss Brian. May the love of those around you give you strength through the days ahead.
No words can express how much a part of our lives he was, and will always be. Brian was a jewel among us, always giving us a shining example of kindness, caring, and fun!! Brian was more than an acquaintance, he was my friend. Although distance and time took us in different directions through life, he was always “there” to me. Even though the time I spent with Brian was all too infrequent, when we were together our bonds were reinforced by the simplest of things; a “what’s up”, a handshake or a “how’s it going”. He made me feel welcome no matter what was transpiring in his life, no matter how busy he was. God gave us a true brother that remains with us through the rest of our lives; though not with us in body any longer yet so close...

Melissa

April 11, 2009

Brian,

Words can't express how much you will be missed. Even though you are gone you will live on through your music and art! Don't worry about your Mom and Ashley they are loved by so many people and they are two of the strongest women I know! Thanks for the memories and rides when Ash and I couldn't drive!! May you rest pacefully knowing everything will be taken care of.

A precious child and brother has passed from this life into the next. While I never met Brian, I feel like I knew him and Ashley because mom talks about the two of you with such joy and pride and love. I can’t answer the questions about "why" and I can’t say anything that will heal the hurt but I do know that God is Love and He will love all of you through this tragic time. I pray peace for all of you.

Kathy & Ashley,

I am so sorry for your loss! I wish I had words which would ease your pain and bring you comfort. From reading what others have written, I know that Brian loved you both very much. The thought occurs to me that he is not gone but has gone ahead and is around the next bend in the road.

You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Chuck Lewis

April 7, 2009

When I heard the news I simply could not believe it; Brian was much too young. Kathy and Ashley I know there is nothing that anyone can say or do to ease your pain, but you are in our thoughts and prayers. Only time can heal that wound but never erase the scars left behind. Brian lived an amazing life even though it was way too short; he indeed lived live to the fullest. Brian was and is still loved by so many people and he had done so many things on earth and I’m sure he’ll do much more in heaven. I will forever be grateful to have known Brian. This is not the time for us to grieve his death but to celebrate his life. Brian will forever be missed but I know in the right time, we will all meet Brian again.

Kenneth and Colleen Pilgrim

April 7, 2009

Kathy and Ashley,
Our words cannot heal the pain; nothing we can say or do will replace the loss of your dear son and brother, Brian. However, Life must go on....Live on for Brian!
May the memories held deep within your heart soothe you and God give you the strength to overcome the pain.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please know we are here for you today and always.

No one lived their life more fervently than Brian. I am so blessed to have been loved by a man who reminded me and showed me so often. Not only did he continually show his love for me but he often talked to me about his love for his mother, his sister, his crew and his dog. No one had more love than Brian and understood the urgency of living life to it's fullest and staying true to who you are more than Brian. I am so sad we didn't have more time together but extremely grateful that we shared more love and appreciation for eachother than most people do in a full lifetime together. My heart goes out to everyone who loves Brian (and I know that is a lot of people) especially Kathy and Ashley and Jet. I love Brian's family as if it were my own and I am here whatever I can do.

I love you soo soo much much Brian! And I have no doubt that we will reunite once again my love. Rest in Paradise my soulmate, rest in all the power and love of the universe.

Kathy & Ashley,
Brian was a true artist. I was amazed with the vivid pictures and music he created, his limitless talent extended from the mediums we all know into each of our lives. As much as he loved life, he loved his Mother and Sister more. I loved his laugh, his mischevious grin, his passion for life, his ...well, there are too many things to list. We all love him and will miss him very, very much.
I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
