John Evans Obituary

John Paul Evans Sr., 84, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Paul was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Crowley to William and Alice Evans. He was a longtime rancher and enjoyed planes and flying enough to become a licensed pilot. His memory is treasured by all who knew him. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Evans, and son, Johnny Evans. Survivors: Daughter, Carolyn Singleton and husband, Donnie; fiancee, Carol Hudgins; grandchildren, Suzanne Cox and husband, Noel, Wesley Singleton and wife, Leslie, Lisa Feazell and husband, Dean, and April Evans and husband, Raymond; great-grandchildren, Blake Cox, Tiffany Floyd and husband, Jeramy, Corbin Whitehead and soon-to-be, Will Singleton; great-great-grandchild, Paisley Floyd; sister, Alyce Evans McMurry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of adoring family members and friends.
