For Aaron's family: I don't know you and never met Aaron, except on a hunting page on FB. Sounds like he was an amazing man. You may or may not know about Kaziah Hancock in Utah, who paints portraits of our fallen warriors for their families at no charge. No cost. Look her up. But a referall needs to go to her from a family member or close friend. She won't do this without permission, and she'd like the family to pick a photo. Please contact me, or Kaziah directly, if you have a favorite pic of Aaron that you'd like to have as a portrait. If you contact me, I'll just hook you up direct w/ Kaziah. My family thanks Aaron for his service, and we thank YOU for his service -- he could not have achieved all he did without his family. God bless you all.
We would like to express our deepest condolences and to also let the Blanchard Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one, Aaron R. Blanchard US Army Captain. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Bless the Blanchard family in their time of need.
I wish that there was something I could say that would ease your pain. I can only let you know the pain I feel in my heart for you. I am sorry that I never got a chance to personally know Aaron but he will always be in my heart and in my prayers. I will also keep you and your family in my heart and in my prayers. Thank you for raising such a fine young man and a true HERO.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I first met Aaron when he was in high school and a member of the Community Band. He was so much fun to have around bringing life and energy to the band. The trip to Switzerland was a highlight of my life and Aaron was a part of that experience. (I do remember somehow he was wrestling around and ended up wearing a band-aide over his nose for most of the trip) I enjoyed the early morning nature walks we took in Davos with Aaron and his grampa Dick Shactler.. I am sure that was a very special trip for him to take with his Grampa! In the summers when he was home, often saw Aaron at our summer band concerts and at that time very much a Marine! After reading the obituary, I realize how many things he was active in and how many people he influenced during his life. Freedom is certainly not free and Aaron made the ultimate sacrifice for the country he was so passionate for. RIP Aaron, until we meet again. Connie Stenhoff

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Captain Aaron Blanchard. I did not have the honor, delight and pleasure of knowing this fine young man...a true American hero...however, I have read many heart touching articles about Aaron. I know Aaron's Grandpa and Grandma Schactler and his Uncle Fred from Eisenhower High School. A great family heritage he was blessed with. May you find peace and comfort through your Faith. I know you feel great pride and honor for the supreme sacrifice Aaron gave, his bravery in serving his country and his heroism.
