A VERY SPECIAL LADY , NEVER A WEEK WENT BY WE DID NOT MEET FOR OVER 30 YEARS. SHE SHARED HER LIFE WITH ME IN SO MANY WAYS. HER FAMILY AND GRAND KIDS HAVE MUCH TO REMEMBER.
You will be remembered every time we look into your grandkids faces. When we hear their laugh we will remember yours. When we see them succeed we will think of you. When we get together we will eat great food in your honor. How does Chocolate Bundt Cake sound for starters? Love you lots.
Wise, loving, and amazing was Agnes. Soon i will be able to see her and her wonderful qualities in a Paradise.
I am grateful to you Agnes for being such a good friend and cousin to my Grandma Vickie Loehline. I hope you find her in heaven so you can be together again. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Agnes was a person who loved life. She showed true dignity in good times and bad.She appreciated every kindness shown to her and loved to smile. The world is less bright without her and her example was to enjoy the best you can with what you are given. It was an honor to care for her and she is already missed.
To one of the sweetest, kindest and most generous people we've ever had the privilege of knowing. Our hearts and prayers are with you. We love you Aunt Agnes.
Our deepest condolences to the extended Barnett family. We have offered up our prayers and Masses for the repose of Agnes's soul. We only knew her a short time but she will be remembered as a very special lady. Enjoyed our talks about our trips to the various casinos and our winnings.

Aunt Agnes, you were a wonderful aunt that always made us feel so special when we came to visit. We will always remember your great kindness and hospitality. You always treated us like royalty and sent us home a few pounds heavier. Your happiness and spunk always spread to those around you. Not sure if there are any casinos up there, but we could sure use a little advice and luck from you. You will be greatly missed but always remembered.
Aunt Agnes was my "California" mom for the 10 years I lived in LA. She always included me in Sunday and holiday dinners with the Barnett family. I am greatful for all of those special times and memories. She will be sorely missed by all who's lives she touched.
I'm sure Agnes went to the front of the line to pass through the pearly gates of Heaven. She touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways. She will sorely be missed.
What a lady Agnes was! She was a good cook, good friend, and always looking for a good slot machine. I will miss the conversations we had but most of all we will miss her smile.
From Debbie Kimble to Crystal Barnett: Rick about anything that he might have remembered, but he was like me...when the Barnetts showed it, it was GAME ON!!! We kids took off running and never stopped. We played everything under the sun. Unless we were upstairs in my Grandma Sooby's house. We had loads of fun up there too. We remember once when the Barnetts where there at the same time as Norma and her kids, Marsha & Jackie. We had an absolute blast during that summer. Jackie used to burp the alphabet and made all of us laugh. Bad part is...since all the kids were together, neither Rick nor I have any good stories about Agnes since she was one of the grown-ups we tried to stay away from! Best memories of her for me are after I became an adult and could appreciate her abilities in the kitchen. She was a great chef. I remember telling her she needed to write a cookbook so all of her favorite recipes would be in one place. So sad that never happened. Her recipes would be a gold mine, at least to those who were lucky enough to enjoy her food. She is not just the end of one of our our family's generation that included my Grandma Sooby, she is definitely the end of an era. Even though we didn't have the opportunity to spend the time with her like Roger did, the rest of us in KS could always feel her spirit, or "being" that belonged to Aunt Agnes. Even though we didn't see her often, when you did see each other, it was like only a month had passed. She never aged so it never seemed lke it'd been a decade since we saw her last, and we always took off where we left off last time we were together. But that also happens with Darrell & Forrest. No matter how long its been, we just take off where we left off and totally enjoy each other's company. I guess that's what you call family! If I hear of anything else, I'll let you know. Rick & Mom are supposed to be thinking all day and getting back with me on whatever comes to mind.
Also, back during the last trip when all of the Soobys went out to CA, seems like it was in 1985, of course, Agnes treated all of us like royalty. I stayed with your folks, Ron and Diane stayed with Sharon & Ed, mom and dad stayed with Agnes. Not sure where the rest stayed...could have been with Forrest...he'd probably remember, but anyway we had everything from a gourmet meal with steaks, to shrimp, to lobsters! Agnes fixed so many lobsters that everyone ate lobster for breakfast the next morning...it was that fabulous! I remember during our visit in '85 that I sat down with Agnes' favorite recipe box and wrote down dozens of her recipes. I found a couple that had been Sharon's favorites and she always would put stars and comments about the recipes that she liked best. I was always amazed at the amount of great food that came out of that small kitchen!
Talked with Mom about any type of stories. Not sure they're any that you'd care to use. But during the first time that Roger moved to CA in 1995, he got Mom and Agnes tickets to the "Golden Boot Awards". It was an award ceremony for the older country-western stars. They met many, many stars that evening. They went shopping together and bought outfits for the evening and had a blast. Mom said she remembered the fantastic meal served at the awards banquet and Agnes, who had catered so many events, was critiqueing the banquet wait staff for their improper way they were serving people...the correct placement of the plates in front of people, etc.
Agnes will be greatly missed. She was such a kind hearted lady and a wonderful cook.
Barnett Family: Aunt Agnes was a mentor to all of us with her positive attitude and zest for life. She will be forever in our hearts.

Barnett Family: Please know that your Kansas family tree is with you in spirit, prayers, love, and support. Each and every one of your Sooby relatives thought the world of Aunt Agnes and with her passing, we also feel a deep void within us. We love you all very much and will always love Aunt Agnes. We only hope that with her passing, you know her suffering is over, and somehow that finds you peace. Love and hugs to each and every one of you in California.
