This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again

R.I.P Alejandro Banuelos — feeling sad.

I miss you, Alex. I miss our talks and your love and support. I wish so much I could be there today to say goodbye and tell you how much you have meant to me. I am so thankful that I still have our thousands of emails to reflect on, even if it makes me miss you more. Rest in peace, my friend. My prayers are with your loved ones today. I love you, my sweet 'brother'.

It's been a week since you left us my dear friend... Yesterday I saw you for the last time. Today, the last time I was around your physical presence. I am thankful to the one above, and to your family, for giving me the opportunity to see you, speak with you and tell you what I needed to say. I am thankful that you were still able to recognize me and call me by my name... I am most certain that you left this world knowing that many people loved and cared for you. I am most certain that your spirit saw and felt the effect you had on so many students, co-workers, friends, family. I thank you for your pure and sincere friendship. For the many times you gave me advice and for the great (and at times silly) memories I will for ever keep... like the memories of this day at the beach and the last picture I took of you 'B'.

December 1982 is when I moved into the neighborhood and you became my friend, a big brother, and a role model for me. We played together every day...basketball, baseball, football, Atari, Pop-blocking...you name it we did it back then. We listened to all types of music, but The Beastie Boys were our favorites. We started to grow up and continued being friends. You were a Roughrider and you played the sax, then you became the drum major. I will never forget the night we saw you at "The Classic" and you were the show stopper with the baton throw in the middle of the field. We continued to grow up and I always felt like I was part of your family because I felt like I was family...like a cousin. Time kept moving and we kept getting older and we lost touch, but we never missed a beat or a step. We could always catch up at a gathering and our bond would be the same because we grew up together. I will miss you Alex. You were my big brother growing up...

No se lo que es perder a un hijo, pero debe ser algo muy fuerte, por más que sean independientes, pero espero que se asimile así como se acostumbró a verlos crecer e irse.

saludos y resignación

Alex you will be missed! We had our "ups and downs" at Raytheon, but we still tried to make the best and have many laughs! I still treasure the badge you made for me replacing my face with the monkey face! Ha! My heart is so sad.

To the Banuelos Family:

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace." The Bible, Numbers 6:24-26

With much sorrow and sympathy

The Banuelos Family,

I had the opportunity to work with Alex during his years at Raytheon. I am so sorry for your loss. Alex will be missed by far too many. The pain of a loss of a loved one will never go away. Knowing that Alex is no longer in pain and no longer struggling will give you strength. Know that his family meant the world to him. There are no words that anyone can say that will take this pain and loss away. I know that Alex will look down on you and help you through this difficult time. Thank you. Kim Grippo.

All my thoughts and prayers are with the Banuelos family.....I know that there are not any words that can be expressed at this time but God does heal all pain....Alex and I shared the same birthday and we always would have cake at work or just joked about our ages. He was a great person and a very private one also. He will be truly missed by all his co-workers....We loved you Alex......Jan Noble (Long Beach, CA)
