Arnold, a fellow Rockhound he was one of the most interesting. kindest and caring person to come into one's life and my wife Faye! We had only known him for a short time and we learned a lot from him in the very short time! We love his stories about Colorado all the time. He will be will greatly be missed! What Great Guy he was and we always loved his stories and his telling about his trips all the time! From Me and Faye we like to pass on our condolences to the Apprill Family!

As the unofficial historian of the Apprill family, Uncle Arnie always had the best stories. My favorites were the ones about the adventures he and my dad had throughout their childhood. Arnie never lost that sense of adventure: whether he was seeing the world with the Air Force, mining for gold in the mountains of Colorado, or photographing airplanes and cars at shows across the country. Although Uncle Arnie was a fixture at the library, he didn't just read about things that interested him - he went out and experienced them firsthand. We will miss hearing about his latest adventure at our next family get together, but it is nice to know he's off enjoying the greatest adventure of all. Bon voyage!

We wish to extend our sympathy to Arnold's family and friends. We will miss Arnold personally, as a fellow club member, and rockhound on field trips. Arnold brought so much to our IGAMS meetings, from specimens he collected and purchased,to information from people he met at events. Arnold's enthusiasm for our hobby was inspiring and will be greatly missed.
