Glenda and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Art was a dear friend & golf partner with Clyde for many years at Ben Hur Shriners. May you have comfort in knowing Art was a good man. “God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give Eternal Life.” (Romans 2:6-7).

Art was a great man. I first meet Art back in the mid 1960's when his company Rhoades Transfer & Storage Company sponsored our little league baseball team at Delwood Optimist. He was a big supporter of youth sports. As a young adult I had the opportunity to do business with him and we would hunt together. He had the best stories. He touched many peopleand will be missed.

Rob and Family:

My father, Walter Orr, often spoke fondly of your father as a fine man. As we lose the role models of "The Greatest Generation," our goals must include the integrity and strength that they exhibited. Our sympathy to you during this time.

As Art's nephew, I want to address this brief message to those of you who, unlike Art's immediate family, might have missed his soft, generous side because he was such a tenacious businessman. I was the beneficiary of that gentler part of Art many times as a youngster and will always appreciate his generosity. I believe it was the same side of Art that enabled him to convince a gem like Glenda to spend her life with him. Kudos to you, Uncle Art!

A good American. A Veteran. Lots of great conversations. He went ahead to light the way for me and you. John Sibley Butler

I don't know your family personally, but Arthur was across the hall from my mother-in-law at Windsor. (We met you and Muffy Sunday evening.) My prayers are with you during your time of sorrow. May your wonderful memories live forever in your heart.
