Betty Lou Brown taught me the love of ballroom dancing, many, many years ago. She was so beautiful--inside and out.
Beautiful Lady! I loved her so!
To all the Brown Family your mother was a very wonderful and upbeat lady.

Mrs. Brown was such an inspiring teacher! She wanted everyone to read, read, read! I'll never forget watching a scene of "Gone with the Wind" in her class and she pointed out that Scarlett was smiling because she and Rhett had a good night. She just giggled over it and every time I watch that movie I think of Mrs. Brown laughing at Scarlett!! When my younger son read a Mary Higgins Clark book in his English class this semester, I told him I also read a book by that author because Mrs. Brown loved her. So she had us reading everything from "Gone with the Wind" to Mary Higgins Clark. I can't pick up a book today and expect to accomplish anything else because I hate to put the book down. Thanks, Mrs. Brown!!
Dear Brown Family, she will be forever missed. I loved her as a teacher and friend...she was an inspiration to me and so many countless others.
A very special lady that touched the lives of many. She will be missed by family and friends. May the Lord comfort you in your loss.
So sorry for the loss of your mom, but what a wonderful teacher, great neighbor, good friend, and a fun gal she was. The impact she had on everybody that she met is everlasting, what a great legacy she leaves. Will be praying for you all.
Brown family, Mrs. Brown touched and effected the future of many many of her students. she put her heart and sole in evey aspect of her teaching. She is the reason DeQuincy is the town it is today. She improved the value of life for many and I am very grateful for the education she gave me. Words can't explain how much she will be missed. Our loss is heavens gain and her smile will for ever be ingraved in our memory. All my prayers to you all.
My deepest sympathy for such a wonderful person. I began my teaching career in 1971 at Dequincy High. I was 21 and Betty was such a warm and caring person for me to be mentored by her. She was just reeling from the loss of her son at the time and I would find her in the bathroom crying her eyes out. I just held her and she helped comfort me in my learning situation of a first year teacher. Heaven has just claimed one amazing woman. I know she is taking over something up there with her husband and son. May God bless her family in the fullest sense of the word. We have all been truly blessed by having known her.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with your family. She had such an impact on so many of our lives and I know Heaven has a few more smiles because of her arrival!! All our love to your families!!

Danny and entire Brown family,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful, crazy, sweet and beautiful lady. She would keep my classes for me when I would go to athletic events during the school day and leave me funny, nasty little notes on my desk for the next morning. I loved Betty Lou Brown. She will be missed by all in DeQuincy. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Maxie Hays
