Sorry for the loss of you loved one. No one wants to see a loved one go. That's why we can look forward to the paradise earth where death will be no more.
My condolences to the Abernathy family. I hope the family can find comfort in knowing that God is near to those who call upon His name. Psalms 145:18
Met Bob in the early 90's. He spent 19 years having Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other holidays in our house. Bob was present when my daughter was married. I taught him how to use a chain saw. Went to church with us for two years, have some wonderful memories of him.
Although I never met Mr. Abernathy in person, I can not wait to shake his hand in Heaven. I will thank him for raising a great son. I will ask him to share some of those younger memories of how he soared with the Eagles and took flight. I will tell him I know no better man than his son Don, and what a great legacy he left for us all to see and to appreciate. I will be keeping the whole family in my thoughts and prayers.
To the family and friends of Mr. Abernathy:
May you find comfort in drawing close to God during this difficult time. - James 4:8
My Dad was the finest person I have ever known
We first met Bob when we went to work for him at Atlas Architectural in 1972. He was the kindest man we have ever known. What we know now in the aluminum architectural industry we learned from the shirt sleeves from Bob's desk. We knew Pauline well also and remember when the first grandbaby was about to arrive, I asked her one day what the baby was going to call her and she said Lynda, I don't care as long as she or he calls me. She was so excited. We worked for Bob many many years and he was always the same, the quiet, smiling, ready to help and share his knowlege with you, patient, happy, loving spirited person that everyone aspires to be. He was Don's mentor and will be missed very much! We Loved Bob so much!
Our thoughts and prayers are with our family at this time of deep sorrow. Uncle Bob will be missed but never forgotten and will always remain in our hearts. Bill & Jackie Abernathy
I'm very fortunate to have been able to call him my grandfather. He was dearly loved and will be missed. Love you, Grandpa.
