First friend to me when I moved to Chicago from the back-hills of river country in 1975. This man has a beautiful soul and he displayed it to anyone who would take the time to look and feel the warmth. I will always be greatful to have known him. One of my special people.

I will miss the Jaquie Lawson e-cards as many of us will. Kept in touch from up North and visited in Tampa and Georgia a few times over the decades. We would go to old theaters, car shows and historical places. The big old gray Lincoln in Tampa was a memorable car. I will miss seeing you as well as your emails.
The American Legion's 9th District, Sr Vice Commander Geoff Towman wishes to send Calvin's family his condolences. Geoff will be out of town when Calvin's services take place and asked me to pass on his condolences to all of you.
Calvin you will be sorely miss by not only myself but also by the other members of Post 316. Calvin, I hope you are resting in peace and enjoying where you now are.
For those of you in Post 316, Calvin was a quiet man but was willing to help where he could in the post. He was an exceptional coffeemaker for our post membership meetings. He was instrumental in getting our website up to date and was a key member of our scholarship committee. Calvin was also a thoughtful man and whenever we had a holiday he use to send me Jacquie Lawson cards which of course picked up my spirits. Yes, Calvin will be missed by all of his friends in Post 316 as well as myself. My condolences to all of your family Calvin.
