May your days be filled with joyous moments until joined together as brother and sister!
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
My condolences to you on your loss.
It was a pleasure to live behind Carl and Barbara for a short time. Their love, advise and compassion was an inspiration. Carl's thoughtfulness of his neighbors was commendable. Remembering the times walking and talking about computers and vegetables. Those memories will be in our hearts forever.

Dear Barbara Ann,
I am SO sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
I knew Carl and Barbara through my parents Connie & Larry Steed, who lived in their neighborhood and were neighbors for over 50 years. Carl was a very honest and caring person!! I always enjoyed talking with him at the New Year's party at the Laurel Hills Community Building every year!! He will definitely be missed!! My thought and prayers are with his wife Barbara and his family!!
Carl was an easy going gentleman--a delight to know. He was so supportive of his lovely wife Barbara Ann. I know he was a great professor as well.
Carl & Barbara were are friends for many years, and we shared many meals and evenings together during the early years of our careers in North Carolina. He was such an outstanding teacher and husband....he is in our memory and our prayers.
I have known Carl and his siblings since I met him at church in West Asheville. He was a talented professor with many interests. I extend sympathies to his wife, brother and sister and other relatives. May they take comfort in good memories. Ken Sanford
Carl was always the person I could count on in NC-AAUP. He was a steadfast supporter of faculty rights. I respected him immensely and enjoyed his company.
