I called Carrie "Mother Superior" with love in my heart. If a person needed a word or two of profound advice with a smile, Carrie would be sure to give it to you. Each time I pass your house Carrie, I think of you with a smile and a tear.
I will always remember the many beautiful Christmas ornaments that you made for TUMS holiday markets as well as your seed money projects.
But perhaps the story you shared with us when all of the poppy seeds disappeared from your yard on E.Fir St. was most memorable...God's grace for your final journey.
Carrie Allen was one of my Mom's best friends while she lived in Sequim. They traveled as part of a church group to Oberamaggu and the Holy Land. They both were "rebaptized" in the River Jordan by Rev Dr Roger Barr.
Speaking for my Mom who passed last Aug 12, they were two remarkable ladies who are now sharing a good cup of coffee in heaven.
We have fond memories of Carrie during our years together at TUMC. We extend our sympathy to the family for your loss.
