I worked with Charles when he was an air traffic Controller in New York. When I read his obituary here in Chattanooga, I was shocked and sorry at the same time. If I had known he lived so close, I would have tried to have some time with him.
Chuck, I have waited awhile to tell you how much you will be missed and the impact you had on so many peoples life. I know you are in a better place now, but losing you still hurts. I will always remember your kindness, your courage and most of all the love for your family. Remembering you always, Brother John
Good men will always be missed. Chuck Criswell was my first ATC Supervisor
in Balboa CERAP, Panama republic of Panama back in 1979. I remember him as
an excellent supervisor and wonderful family oriented person. I've also
worked for him in Miami ARTCC during the years he served as an Air Traffic
Manager in 1989. Chuck always had a good word of advice and excellent
humor. “Corbinalo”. My sincere condolences to his wife, his son Mike and
family. Rest in peace.
I will always remember my uncle Chuck as a family man, including and taking me along his own family vacations. I will never forget the time when he picked me up in Orlando and took me to Vero beach to stay for week and it was the best. I gained respect with what uncle Chuck would tell me as he explained life events that would parallell the conversations held. My love and condoalances to Aunt Sylivia and the remainder of the family. My thoughts and prayers are out to you.

I will miss his big heart. He was the best big brother a girl could ask for. My fondest memory is the time my son, Chris, caught his first cold. The doorbell rings and in walks Chuck with a bag full of medicines and a vaporizer. He set the machine up and told me how to use it, then gave him the medicine and me instructions on how often to give it. I will always love you Big Brother :)
Chuck was a true air traffic control professional who was also endowed with a great sense of humor. Those of us fortunate to have worked with him are saddened with his passing and will greatly miss him. God bless you Chuck

He was a big man in many ways; body, heart, and soul. Enjoyed working closely with him in Washington, DC, both within and out of the FAA. Always a team player. A true visionary. Please know Slyvia that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.
My prayers go out to you and the family. It was a pleasure to work with Chuck as a member of his CNS/ATM TEAM in the Ukraine and in Ghana. He was a leader in the GPS world who brought the new aviation and air traffic technology to many "third World" countries.
Chuck was a fine man--honest, caring, and professional. His spirit, character, and sense of humor will definitely be missed. It was a pleasure to know and work with him.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Chuck when the New Smyrna Beach Control Tower opened in 2004. He made contract tower operations a real joy. He was one of the best managers I ever had in 40 yrs of control work and we missed him terribly when he decided to retire. May he rest in peace.

Cheryl & family,
So sorry for your loss & praying for our Lord's special comfort & peace at this time. I felt honored to get to meet your dad/grandpa a few times when I visited him in Rehab. What a precious man, and what a legacy.
Praying for you,
I am so sorry about Charlie. He was alot like a big brother at times to me when I was growing up. He advised me on my first spouse and we went to some of his football games. We would sit and talk when he came to visit. I will miss him very much but now he is home with my mom and dad, aunt Lillian and uncle Frank and his friend my uncle Gene. You all are in my prayers and I will be praying for all. Love you all.
