The past few days have been rough for our family. Grandpa you have touched so many lives in so many ways. I have thought of so many memories to say but I just can't say just one because they are so special to me. Men can change one thing while great men can change everything around them for the better. Grandpa was a great man and wonderful IU fan. I will miss you every day of my life. I will defiantly miss not see you on Banet road walking around when I'm spending to work. Every time I was late for work I would always see you and say to myself “hey I'll be late even more so I can talk to the man that I call……Grandpa”.

My world came crashing down when you left. I will always cherish in my heart my last moment with you when I hugged you and said "I love you" and you replied "love you too". A moment no one can take away. Sooooo many people lives you had touched. So many people....... I know I will see you again in heaven . Our faith in Christ will bring us all together again. You are the family man I am inspired to be like and will never forget the memories we shared. LOVE YOU GRANDPA

Grandpa I will miss you with all my heart. You always knew how to make me smile. You taught me how to play my first non traditional solitaire game, my first poker game 1 or 3, and my first casino table game Pai Gow. Your smile brighten rooms and hearts. There are so many memories, I cannot include them all. You will aways be a part of me and we will be together again.

To comfort you, may it ease your sorrow to know that many others are thinking of you now at this difficult time. This comes w/warm thoughts & sincere sympathy. Uncle Joe will certainly be missed. May you take all the beautiful memories each one has & be comforted by those things.

You had called me "Sweetheart" when comforting me as a child. A young girl's shoulders were often met with an endearing caress by a loving uncle, who understood the boredom I faced, as his smile was brighter than the sun, and his love was deeper than any river crossed. "Dear Uncle Joe," You are a pillar of strength, a "Banet legacy!" But, most of all, "You are all we revere in a gentleman, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle and a friend. You are the light, and the courage we seek." Do not judge a full life, appreciate the life he led and those he inspired. "A foundation unshaken builds skyscrapers taller than the man that stood behind his family, and in front of the world without burden." ... "God will surely bless your soul" as your life was worth living, and we were all touched by your love, your beauty, and faith in God. ... "You shall rest in peace, we will carry on, an angel on our shoulders." God Bless the soul who no longer wanders, but guides us in loving memories; a friendly man, a family man, a man whose path led him to "God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!" ... Hey, "He was onto something!" ... "Live, Love and Laugh!" ... and in the meantime, "Do not forget that I am near, I live endlessly in your heart!'

My favorite memory of My Grandpa was when we played cards. Every time I was at the end he was with me. EVERY TIME. Then on the last hand he would smile at me and it was a smile that only he could do. I will remember that smile for the rest of my life. It makes me feel better that he is with his mom for Mothers Day. Love you Grandpa I'm Going to miss you

Mike I am so sorry for your loss, I did not know your Dad but I know you pretty well and if you are any indication of what your Dad was like, I would without a doubt have to say he must have been a pretty awesome man. I pray for you and the rest of your family at this time because I have been there myself and I know this road is the the worst one to travel. May you all find peace in God. This was my DAD and was one of the most loving men I've ever known. He was a very strong catholic and while I know I did not make him proud of me for not staying in church for years, I found my back to the Lord quite a few months ago. While I did not have the same beliefs in every thing he did the catholic religion says (and some I still ponder and struggle with) I did believe in God and tried living my life the right way by helping others like he would and treating people with respect and dignity like he brought me up. I did pray to him in my own way and voluntered 25 years of my life to my community in the Fire Service giving up a lot. Only my family knows how much that was. But that's what Dad taught us. You always give back. I Love him and sure I never told him often enough. Just hope he knew it. I pray to join him again some day. In a few minutes in will be Mothers Day and while it won't be a great one here I am praying he is reunited with his mother in HEAVEN. REST IN PEACE DAD!
