I am so glad I was able to attend the service for this godly woman who left behind such fragrant memories--as Paul said, a savor of life unto life. She was a good stepmom to my dear cousins and I am grateful to her for that. May the Lord comfort all her family with the wonderful memories she left them. Also my thanks to Philip for inviting us to his home after the funeral. It was a blessing.
Nancy told me today about Connie's passing. I am so sorry. I had lost touch with her over the past ten years. But since I live in Gleed, every time I would drive by their classic orchard home, I would think of Dick and Connie Wachsmith. She was a gentle, kind lady who always had a smile and an encouraging word. We were newcomers to Yakima in 1993; she extended us a genuine and warm welcome. I also wish to thank you for the photo slide show. I love them.
It was a very nice service yesterday. Aaron was right Connie was a great cook and a servant to all.
