I will miss seeing Dan out watering his lawn and puttering around as I pass by the house. He was always busy and the house was immaculate. Condolences from down the street.
Love you so much Dan miss you wish cancer never was here. Love Taylor

Dan was a high school friend and we enjoyed many fun times together.May you rest in peace old friend and as we Irish always say "may you get to heaven 30 minutes before the devil knows your there"
Danny, I am so glad you and my grammy re-entered each others lives all the years later. You helped her through a very tough time and I could not be more greatful to you. You were so full of life, always smiling and wanting to goof around! Thank you for being such an amazing person, I will truly miss you. May the two of you rest in peace.
I have to say I was very disappointed to come home and see that my entire entry was missing from my post. Nonetheless, I guess I will try to restate what I previously entered.
Uncle Billy Boy will be remembered by my family and I always, as he owned a character that was unforgettable. He was a hardworking and endearing man that made loving him an easy task, much like his brother. I can only imagine what they got up to back in the day.
I enjoyed spending time outdoors with him or playing cards. He was always the life of the party. I am grateful that I got to spend so much time with him and that we got to go camping a couple years back.
I love you Uncle, and I know you won't be resting up there because you never were at ease down here. Nonetheless, Rest easy.
On my ride down to join those who loved you at the wake this evening, the sunset was awesome with an orange ball of fire in the sky, complete with God's rays streaming down and rain streams with all of the pinks, orange and gold.
It was a very fitting view with a little bit of everything sprinkled in. All of my memories of you are just like that uncle Billy Boy.
Whenever we parted ways I always took with me a smile and a positive attitude. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, your love and mostly your time. 15 for 2. I love you. Tam the clam.
So sorry to hear about Dan.. He gave it his best shot. We'll miss having him stop up with his boat! Sending you lots of love & light, Peter Colello & Penny Megquier
I'll never forget the first time I met ole Billy Boy, he came running across the lawn to give me a hug, hand me a croquet Malet and ask me if I wanted in on a little gamie, I said, sure, why not! There was never a dull moment with him in the room and the world will be a little less bright with you no longer in it. I will miss you! Lynn

Sad to hear of this loss in our family. Wonderful memories of "Uncle Dan" and his laughter and stories. I still share the deer in the van story to help folks through a rough day. Loved your generous hospitality and love for life. Thank you for the great memories and no one will ever be able to through a clam bake like you could.
Prayers to the family for peace and comfort.
They broke the mold with my Uncle Dan... Fun loving, free wheeling, pedal to the metal, hold on to your hat, you are in for a good time. He wasn't only the life of the party, he was usually hosting the party. Uncle Dan had a soft caring side, gingerbread houses every Christmas, elaborate cakes on your birthday, generous gifts on special occasions, jokes and warm laughter late into the evening... My uncle gave me sage advice when I graduated from college. Pay your bills off every month, save a little bit from every paycheck, work hard and play harder and you will live a happy life. Great advice Uncle, advice I've taken to heart. Thank you for all the great memories... Lovingly missed, Dave, Cori, David & Logan Holt
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
I'll never forget all the memories I have with you Uncle Sonny. The clam festival parades and your yummy homemade chowder. Playing cribbage, croquet and kings and seven. You were always such a positive happy person, I'm going to miss you dearly. Rest easy Uncle Sonny. I love you
I will never forget the time that Dan took me clamming. He also took both Terry and I on his boat lobstering a couple of times. He was always gracious to open his home to us whenever we visited our sister-in-law Jean. Terry and Nancy Minne of Brighton, Colorado
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. May your many warm memories of Dan comfort you.
I just wanted to personally thank Dan for the companionship he afforded my Mom, Jean over the past eight years. I have many good memories of them and they seemed truly happy over that time. For whatever reasons God brought them together, and when they both passed at the same time, literally, I felt at ease knowing they made the trip together. Thanx Danny, Love Always, Myke & Janet McRae
"Today, and all the days of my life, I offer my most sincere loving comfort to my mother Lou Ann, who loved my father for over 30 years his life. Their friendship and bond still strong well beyond their years together as my wonderful parents for all of those fun years growing up together in our home in Yarmouth - those were truly the best of times! Even today, I know this is as difficult for you mom, as it is for me." " I embrace you both forever." Your loving Son- Michael

I was told he was nicknamed "Sonny" by my gr, gr grandmother because of his white blonde hair, "sunny" disposition & always smiling! As kids, we called him Uncle Sonny, our grampa; Dan & our great grandfather; Grampa Holt, ...since they all had the same name, so we wouldn't get confused :)
I will miss your wonderful smile and laugh. I have so many fun memories of growing up around you and Dave. You will be forever in my heart Uncle Danny
