Miss you my brother Dan! Thinking of you often!
Rest in Peace dear brother.
Im sitting here on Christmas Eve and thinking about how wonderful it would be to get my yearly call from "Santie Claus." Thank you Uncle Dan for all of the wonderful memories and love you have given me all of my life. From taking me to Circus World, the Kennedy Space Center, and even wearing a special piece of purple clothing at my wedding as you had always promised. I will truly miss you Uncle Dan...Love you always...
Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. You will be in my prayers and thoughts.
Dan may you rest in peace.
Aunt Mary and Lydia
I will miss Uncle Dan so much. I will miss his laugh and his jokes and how he would call me not matter the time of year and tell me it was "Santa Claus". The best way to keep Uncle Dan's spirit alive in our hearts is to continue to tell his stories and laugh in his memory. I will continue to tell everyone how I was named after him (well according to Uncle Dan) and how my name is really pronounced Dan-a. I love you both and are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mary & Lydia,
We were happy that Dan was able to make it for Joey's graduation. Now it means everything, having the chance to spend a few days with him. He loved to make people laugh/smile. A fantastic brother/brother-in-law, we will miss him very much. All of our love
My thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Lydia, and the rest of the Nebel family. It was an absolute pleasure in knowing Dan and work with him at Patrick AFB. Dan was a breath of fresh air. It was a blessing to be around Dan; a great person with a golden smile. I will always love and remember my Daniel Boy.
Dano, i will miss you buddy. Now you can really sing with Johnny Cash and Buck Owens...singing an'a' grinning.
God speed, Kat

Mr. dan was like a father to me, the best father figure Im glad that he took me and treated me as if I were his daughter. He gave the best advice, had the best jokes and stories that made me cry laughing. Now he is with the Lord now without pain and suffering. I will miss him because he was the dad I'd always wanted and will forever cherish the time he was in my life.
I met Dan in 1974 when we were both in the Air Force, and we remained colleagues, and friends ever since.
