Danny was a warm, kind and funny man. He always made me laugh and I always felt so comfortable around him. I travelled on buses with him, worked as a volunteer with him and I truly enjoyed his desire to help anyone in need. You will be missed! We are sending our best to the family during this difficult time. From Marion, Garth and Allen Dyck.
Danny, you must have been a great father, husband, grandfather, friend, neighbour, employee and above all a shoulder to lean on. After reading and seeing all those red balloons bought in your honor and memory, it really speaks volumes about you. RIP Danny.
What an incredible send-off for Danny today. Wonderful speeches and presentation. The sheer number of people who showed up to pay tribute to Danny's memory, speaks volumes as to the kind of man he was. Our hearts are with Avis and her family...

We will miss our "turkey guy" very much as will many other people. Rest in peace Danny. God Bless the Henderson family. Until we meet again.........
Danny was the type of person we can all only hope to be. I have fond memories of Danny visiting the family when I was growing up in Atikokan, and have known few people with such an unlimited capacity for kindness. He is missed.
Still having a hard time believing that Danny is gone. Our thoughts & prayers are with Avis, Alacia, Keith, Lisa & the grandbabies. Danny was one of a kind and will be missed very much! Gone but never, ever forgotten! Love, The Potter Crew

Condolences to Avis and family. Rest in Peace Danny. The town of Atikokan has lost a very special and true hearted person. May angels walk with you and yours during this tragic time.
Our deepest sympathies are with the Henderson family. Keep your memories close to your heart in this time of unthinkable sadness. Danny is smiling down on all of you now and know that his spirit will always be right beside you.
Danny will be sadly missed. Always there for others, never expecting anything in return. A loss that is felt throughout the entire community of Atikokan and beyond. "99 Red Balloons" and many many more for you.
Rest in Peace Danny,, Lloyd Watson
Oh I was so sad to hear about Poor Danny :( He was such a kind man, and will be missed by the many people of Atikokan. In the short time my boyfriend and I lived there, we remember Danny very well, from Robin's mostly, but we also ended up purchasing our big white van from him. He was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, if it meant helping someone. I will always remember his coffee order when he came to robin's every day. He was a wonderful man, who's life has ended too soon. I hope and pray for his family each day, and may they find comfort and strength through Jesus in this sad time. Losing a loved one is ever easy, allow yourself to cry and grieve, and with time, things will be better. Rest in Peace Danny, keep an eye on Atikokan wherever you are

Our hearts are full of sadness for the family of Danny. Avis, Keith and Alacia will miss Danny's teasing, his smiles, and his stories. His grandchildren will not have the chance to know the kind and loving grandpa I am sure he would have been. Please know that the memory of Danny will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. The students of this community who travelled long hours on buses to sports trips and field trips looked forward to having Danny as their driver. He was always "one of the kids" to them. He enjoyed being with them and gave them lots ribbing along the way. His shuttle service provided many people of our community the safe ride home they may not have had otherwise. . With time, you will be able to speak of Danny easily and with happy hearts. He would want it that way. Mark and I send our most sincere condolences to your family. Take care of yourselves. From Jody, Mark, Jillian and Aidan Labossiere
I remember Danny as a funny guy that always had his wits about him and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He was a kind man and I remember him as a person to always sit and have coffee with to just talk about anything.
Avis you had a great man and those come far and few between!
