My family lived next door to the Ferris family from 1966 to 1970, I know when we moved away he wondered if I would ever grow up to amount to anything. Well I did Mr. Ferris mainly because I wanted to do it for you and my parents. Thank you and rest in peace. Brian
Darrell, you don't know how much we already miss you. When I joined the Ferris family in 1982, I acquired so many wonderful BIG brothers. I will always remember the summer George, Chris and I spent in Wichita Falls with you and Charlotte. That was a very happy vacation. Everytime I saw you, you always had a smile on your face. I cherished the times you came to Denver for our family reunions. I still see your smiling face whenever I look at the photos I have of the six Ferris children. We love you very much, Darrell. George is saddened by your loss, as he lost another big brother, but grateful you are now out of so much pain and suffering. You are with your mom and dad and siblings. You will always be cherished in our hearts. We love you so much.
We are praying that God will send comfort, peace, and strength to Mrs. Ferris and all the family.
Pop, you touched so many lives. Anyone who knew you is better for it. Thank you for blessing my life. You will be missed. I hope you got your white hat in Heaven, because all the good guys wear white hats!
37 years ago I met the Ferris family and Darrell became my "Wichita Falls Dad". He was very dear to my heart. He was one of a kind and the world is a better place because of him.
It has been many years since I have seen Darrell but I have many wonderful memories of him! My sincerest sympathies to the family.
Rest In Peace Mr. Ferris, Our condolences to your family. Thank you for your service to this great nation.
