Joyce, Dedre, Denise and family:

I often read this poem that Grandma Simpson wrote many years ago when I am feeling tried and tired and it always gives me hope and a sense of tranquillity. I am sharing this with you in hopes that it helps in some small way to ease your burden.

My Prayer
I have asked God for eyes to see
What it is he expects of me,
And when I look toward the hill,
Give me courage to do His Will.

I have asked God for a loving heart
For strength to always do my part.
Words of kindness for all I meet
And gladly turn the other cheek.

I pray to rid myself of fear
to really know that God is near
And when my path is faint and dim
to give me faith to trust in Him.

I have prayed for wisdom too
and to myself I must be true,
and when I have to make a choice
to listen carefully for his voice.

I have asked God that some how I'll find
Some way to keep an open mind
True forgiveness for everyone
And truthfully say "Thy Will be done."
