Dear Marie, Amy, Beth, Rachel, Jessica, Toby and David,
Please know that I was saddened to read about "Mr. Warden" in the Marblehead Reporter a few weeks ago, but at the same time, my heart was filled with happy and humorous memories of that time long ago when we were neighbors on Beach Bluff Avenue. My heart goes out to you all - David was a very special man. I always enjoyed his wry humor about the shenanigans going on with all the kids that filled your house.
I see my dad signed this guest book below - you all mean a lot to my family.
Marie and family: Dave was a great person - a great man who will be missed by all who knew him. He was not just a student-athlete, he was a scholar athlete. He served on the Lynn School Commitee in 1965 when I was elected a principal to serve at Lincoln School. We kept in contact over the years. He will be greatly missed.
Dear Marie, Amy, Elizabeth, Rachel, Jessica, Toby, and David, and your families,
Dave was one of our family, one of Bob's closest friends. He and Marie brought measureless joy and depth to my parents' lives and by extension to our family. Dave was an inspiration to me -- a regular guy, a civic activist, a reformer, a family man, a dignified professional, soft spoken, and influential. I am sorry at his passing and the loss to marie and you all. He was loyal and present to Helen during her final years, when he and Marie would drop by. She hated to be seen by company, but always was energized by their visits and was happy to see them. I send Marie love to live with this additional loss, and know you will find inspiration and learning in the legacy you will keep on discovering that your father left you. Brian Powers, San Francisco
jean and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I am at our home in Naples Florida and Jean returns from a trip to Europe on Saturday. i know that David and you were always favorites of my family. Your beautiful family reflected the love, intelligence, and kindness that their parents taught them. Roger Rotondi

Dear Marie and Family. The Tower Hill Gang will never be the same for missing a dear friend Dave. We have wonderful memories of our high school days in class and on the field. Dave was with me when I met Pat, my wife--my lucky day!!! We had just graduated from Duke and Harvard and walked Lynn Beach for an ice cream cone.
We shared many wonderful memories of the meetings of the Tower Hill Gang with wives included. Dave was a wonderful friend and compatriot. Sympathy to all of you--we will miss him dearly. Pat and Fred Smith, Bloomington, IN
