What can one say at a time like this?
The loss is overwhelming. Uncle Dennis is someone I am enormously proud to have been family with. The Andersons and the extended family will continue to be in my heart and mind and prayers forever.
While sitting here at my computer this morning, I glanced at my coffee cup and Dennis came to mind and I had to chuckle about the story of how he would lose track of things. I have come to the conclusion that he really did not have a choice in the matter...he is an Anderson. I have the same "where is my _____" disease. It comes with the Anderson genes. We are just stuck with it. So, my day will start with a smile when I glance at my coffee cup and think of Dennis.
Love you guys and think of you often. Hugs to you all and please give Aunt Alice a hug from me the next time you see her.
I have never attended a more beautiful memorial. I didn't know Dennis's middle name was after my dad. Aunt Aggie told me. Never will I forget the wonderful time Nadean, Denise and I had with you and Dennis at your lovely home last summer.
Anderson Family; Hello Alice, What memories come back, when Edwin was born and we lived next to you. It was so good to run into you again when we visited Marge Ross. My prayers are for comfort and peace as you process the good memories. Love, Beverley Hathaway,Bernard-Looking Down
Thank you Dennis for being a great mentor, friend, host, and loving person. I am so happy you got the chance to meet my little Rowan. I will miss you the most when I think all the times I'd be running in darrington and you slowing down along side me to cheer me on or ask if I need a ride. Love you much.
We will treasure the memories we have of him. So sorry for your loss. John and Kaye
This poem is for Dennis. I meant to share it with Cindy, kin & friends at his service.
In sowing us,
From seed of God,
There came a unique stand,
Which grew so tall and strong and lean,
By image of his hand.
And that, which came,
Began to show,
No ordinary zeal,
With sparkle and a strength in life,
A Cedar in the field.
From where he grew,
And when he arched,
By where he reached his arms,
Becoming places that he loved,
Protecting from all harm.
And rising from a unique view,
His tendrils then took hold,
To grab the world by the root,
Because he was so bold.
But unseen hazards came to life,
In causing him some dread,
By placing peril in his face,
In life, his roots, his thread.
Yet mighty master of the field,
Won't allow such fate,
That serves no purpose but to die,
Without the love innate.
Though not the once great Cedar,
By all appearance sake,
There is a strength of character,
That no one can mistake.
He sparkled inspiration,
That spawned succeeding stands,
By character from seed of God,
Unique within his hand.
And though this Cedar’s fallen,
Yet on the Earth it lives,
As new stock we grow from,
And all the life it gives.
Now back within the tending arm,
He’s seed for some new soil,
In fertile meadows he now grows,
In warm calm air,
To be re-sowed
In fields free from toil.
With deepest regards...
Cindy, I just heard about Dennis and I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your at this time. Vicky Jira-Dry

Cindy & family,
There is nothing we can say that will make this better, but we do know Dennis was one in a million!! We are the fortunate ones to have known him. Tears comfort, Time heals, and Love is forever. We are so lucky to be part of this wonderful family!
The Holiman Family
To The Anderson Family, my husband and I live a mile down the road from where this tragic accident happened. Although we did not know Dennis, we would like to send our Deepest Sympathy from all the neighbors on South East Camano Drive.
Dennis is an amazing guy with an amazing family. He will be missed so deeply but a little bit of him lives on in each of one of you. There was nothing negative about him as he was an optimist and saw everything positive. He'd make ya laugh without saying a word, yet he displayed the most humble attitude that earned him respect. He touched a lot of lives in Darrington and will continue to do so for years to come. I will miss him...
All of us who knew Dennis at Crystal Lake understand what a wonderful man Dennis was. We are so sorry for this tragic accident and the enormity of your loss. May God bring healing to your aching hearts. You are in our thoughts & prayers.

Cindy Jeff and Jason, I want you to know that Dennis was one of my favorite people in the forest. I first met him in 1991 and I was always impressed with how professional he was while being just a regular guy. I'm going to miss him. My jobs were always easier knowing that I had someone out there whose judgement was better than my own. I know how much Dennis loved the woods, just like we all do. We spend lots of time inside ourselves and know some things that most people never get a chance to experience. I will always think of Dennis while I'm out there. He was one of the good guys.
cindy, jeff and jason, nothing can be said to express the sorrow! we have lost one of the greatest humans on earth! i so sorry for this tragedy.
Cindy and family,
Words cannot ease the pain. Only know that God is the Great Comforter. He hears your pleas for strength to get through each day. Lean on Him! We feel for each and every one of your family members and friends that loved Dennis so. May God continue to ease the pain in your hearts and comfort you in your grief!
God Bless You!
Cindy, Jeff, Jason and family, We were so heartbroken to hear about Dennis. I can't possibly express how sorry we are and how much we loved him. So many years of fun together as families, and of course my fond memories of babysitting. As everyone has mentioned before me, I can't think of a time that I saw Dennis without a smile on his face. It was always so rewarding to come home, run into Dennis somewhere, and be hugged and greeted. All of you will always be like family to me. I pray the support of all your family and friends will ease your pain. Keep loving each other... miss you. Dave & Debbie (Nations) Redman
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Cindy, Jeff & Jason,
I didn't know Dennis extremely well but I do know this, he did indeed, set the best example for others to live by. He was kind, generous, loving, funny and many more. I have always felt a great deal of respect and admiration for Dennis and for your entire family. The love and respect that you feel for eachother is so strong that there is no way others can possibly miss it. I will miss Dennis' crocked grin that was always there every time you saw him and will miss trading the smart-alec remarks. He will be missed deeply by many.
Cindy & Family... It has been years and years. My thoughts & prayers go out to all of you in this time of sorrow. May your memories bring you many smiles & much laughter through the tears and the years.
Andersons' - thinking of you all! How would anyone start a day, knowing it would end in such upheaval?
Clearly, Dennis was the beloved centerpiece of your family and the community. I always looked forward to joking with him and very much enjoyed his sense of humor. I hope that you take comfort in his full and happy life, though the loss of it is so unfair.
Cindy and family, We were so shocked and saddened by the passing of Dennis. We know that words cannot change a ting but we hope that it helps knowing so many care.
Cindy and Family, We will always remember Dennis's smile and sense of humor. We also appreciate his honesty and leadership in the timber industry. He will be greatly missed. Ron and Shari Brewer (RL Brewer Forestry & Crew)

Darrington has truly lost a great member of our community. Dennis was always there to cheer us all on in sports growing up. As we got older he was someone we could look up to. Dennis was a great example of what Darrington is all about; hard work, always a smile and kind word for your neighbor and love for your family. Dennis will be missed by our family and the entire community.
What a shock it was when I heard of Dennis' passing. I'll always remember him as a truly nice person.
Cindy and Family,
Please know that Dave and I are thinking of you and yours. Such a shock when we heard, our circle of friends are so closely associated with Dennis, we heard within an hour of the tradegy. Please know we would attend the memorial if we were in Washington. We will be thinking of you on Saturday.
Love to you and yours,
Dave and Ann Perrigoue
My thoughts and prayers are with you Cindy and family. I was in school with Dennis from first grade through 9th and Dennis was always kind. Enjoyed our class re-union at your house a few years back. May you find comfort and peace knowing he touched many lives.
Cindy, Alice and family. I have known Dennis all of my life. Played with him in a sand box when young, then I will never forget Dennis playing basketball and Cindy as cheerleader (Go Loggers). Then a few years ago I was at my brother-in-law Bud Andrews memorial and got to spend time with both Dennis and Alice reminicing about the good old days and got enlightened about Jeff and Jason whom he was very proud of. Dennis was a very good guy and the Lord needed him to come home. Rest in peace.
Always a smile and a laugh, prayers go out to all of you, A loss to family and friends, gain to heaven.
Cindy & family, our hearts break for you. Dennis was a kind, good man and that is reflected in his sons. There is no doubt who he loved & was devoted to, Cindy. Our prayers go up for you continually.
