One year ago you left. You didn't leave us though. We feel your guidance and love every day. We will carry on in a way that makes you proud. We love you Don.
We miss you Don but we know you are okay. Continue to watch over all of us. We love you.
To our long standing friends, Walter and Brad, Our sincerest condolensces, and
Don truly was blessed to have a long and successful career doing what he loved. As Walter said in the eulogy, "Don's bark" was worse than his bite...but when you are 5 or 6 years old, the "bark" was loud. Rest in peace, Don.
We were saddened to hear the news about your Dad. I hadn't seen him in many years, but still enjoy the stories my Dad shares about their time together. He was a wonderful man and I know he will be missed by so many.
Dana and Paige Duft
To the Duft families: I'm extremely sorry for your loss. You may have lost the figure but you haven't lost the man. He continues to live through your stories and memories, so don't hesitate to share. Much love to you all.
The Boulder Rotary Club send its deepest sympathy and condolences to Don's wonderful family. We were prepared to help him celebrate his birthday at today's meeting, when instead we learned of his passing. What a productive, interesting and resilient life he led! We are privileged to have had him as a member of the club.
Sorry to hear of his passing. Though I haven't seen him in years, I always remember a composed, wise man with a twinkle in his eye. And I know my dad thought the world of him.
Don, you were a great friend to me over the years. I'll miss our weekly lunches where we chomped our way across the cuisine of Boulder. Of course, everyone knows that the soup and salad special at the olive garden is really the best of them all.
This picture in particular was a fun day -- out at a Rockies game. The weather was spectacular, and we had great seats behind first base (out of the sun of course). We drank beer and ate foods that D'Ann would not approve of, though my guess is that you spilled the beans the second I dropped you off at home. Such was your passion and love for D'Ann. You wanted her to be a part of your day even though she was not there.
I will miss you.
Grandpa you were such an amazing and accomplished man. You truly were an inspiration and a role model. I am going to miss you and your funny stories. I love you Grandpa, you will stay in my heart.
I met Donald when I was the receptionist for Dr William Blanchette. We became friends during my two years there. I will miss him, his laugh, and jokes with me. My condolences to his family Liz Mauer
We are thinking about all of you. Keep the memories alive in your hearts and it will help you during this time. We love and miss you. Jay, Cindy, Nick & Colleen
Not just my mentor in law but a mentor and confidant in life. A good friend wil be missed.
Walt, Liz, Emily, and Lauren I am sorry for your loss. I wish I had a chance to meet Grandpa Don but now I look forward to hearing more of his funny stories from all of you. You will all see him again some day.
Walter, Biz, Lauren and Emily, we are so sorry for the loss of your father, father in law and grandfather. What an incredible man, we are so glad you were able to enjoy so many years with him and hope that memories will help to ease your sadness now.
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Don was special to us in our growth as a married couple and in business.
Don's memory will bring smiles to us forever. Love to you all.
To my sons-in-law Brad and Walter, May the memories of your Dad be with you always. We had some great times on the slops and many laughs. D'Ann, God bless you at this time. Sincerely, Gail & Herb Streng
D'Ann and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I'll never forget the adventures we had when we designed and built your home in Gunbarrel. Don may be the only person I ever met who was as big a Buffs fan as myself when we would compare notes and discuss the possibilities for upcoming football seasons. A great guy who will be sorely missed.
I will miss your stories, I will miss your chuckle. I will miss your strength, I will miss your wisdom. Most of all, I will miss you, Don. Thank you for the love you gave me. I will treasure it and grow upon it always. We now have another Angel in the stars of heaven. Watch over us. Until we meet again...
I love you. <3 Biz
