Sorry to hear, years ago he was my doctor as a child. He was a good doctor.I was in the hospital years ago with a high fever and he found out it was just an ear infection. He sent me home on antibiotics and said all she needs is take that, be held (in rocking chair). Another doctor had a spinal tap done on me. I was only 4 or 5. So then that is when he became my new doctor.
Scott and Family, It has been so many years since I lived in Williamston and now find myself so far away. However, as so many from across the U.S. and beyond have expressed the same thoughts and rememberances, I too, wish to do the same. Dr. McCorvie was our family doctor from the time I was 4 to 12. He brought three of my five siblings into this world. I remember always feeling safe with him, even if it meant a SHOT!!! I thank you and your family for sharing him with so many. With deepest sympathy and respect.
Doctor McCorvie.. was a wonderful man, and a very caring doctor... I missed him alot when he retired...(not many docs like him left) God Bless him and his family..God has taken him,to serve in another way.. Rest in Peace..
So sorry to hear of Don's passing and I know all of the family will greatly miss him and Lois especially.

My words cannot express the love, kindness and gratitude I have experienced in having been touched by "Doc" and Lois McCorvie. They took me in as a wayward son for a few brief summers in Charlevoix, and at the home in Williamston. I can still hear that beautiful laugh and see the warm embrace of his smile. Thanks "Doc" for caring so much for me and for touching my life in such a positive way. You will be missed... because you were truly one of a kind.
Dear Lois, Jill and all of your family,
Don's life was well - lived. He was caring and wise, yet always had a twinkle in his eye! I always picture him smiling and laughing like this wonderful photo. I must share a story that illustrates Don's caring nature. On August 7, 1998 I awoke feeling ill.It wasn't life or death, but I needed to get medication quickly because I was hosting my oldest daughter's very first birthday sleepover that night - her 7th birthday. Don, being the kind and understanding man he was, squeezed me in as quickly as he could, prescribed the meds and recommended something extra to relieve my symptoms to boot. The party was saved thanks to Don and his wonderful wife, nurse Lois. Don also encouraged Mark and I to nurture our relationship with a weekly date night. He swore by it! We often echoed his words as reminders to take care of ourselves as a couple. He was a wise man. We will all miss Don.The world was a better place because of him. Our thoughts, love and prayers are with you now and in the days and weeks to come. Sue, Mark, Hannah and Sarah Adams
I've only just known Don for a few months, but in that time I grew to be so fond of his smile, laugh and kind heart. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts are with you, Lois, and all the family.
It was my pleasure to serve as Dr. McCorvie's office nurse for several years prior to his retirement. He will be remembered as a gentle, compassionate, caring doctor. This was never more apparent than when I accompanied him on house calls. Furthermore, he was a wonderful Christian.

I remember seeing Dr. McCorvie fairly often as a kid. I was always getting my fingers shut in doors or crunched in softball or basketball games, and showing up to get them straightened out! I liked his smile then and still when I last saw him.....in church, I think. He will be missed by many.
I know you have wonderful memories; lean on them now. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Doc's going to be missed!!!
I can't imagine having had a better father-in-law. I'm sure that he smiled more than anybody I know, and would light up a room with his grin!
Delivering babies, and healing the sick in his community, serving at the church, teaching at Power Squadron, leading in the association at their lake, and countless other areas of service, he made a huge impact.
He loved to teach....fishing, medicine, woodworking.....anything anybody needed!!
And...he LOVED his kids and grandkids. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family....except of course his time with Lois. What a great couple. They loved to explore and travel together. I've never seen such a great example of two people who really complete each other.
He's been a tremendous model in my life!
Miss you Doc!!!!!!!!!
Hugs to our Dear Friend Lois and her children. XOXO
Our thoughts and prayers are with you for comfort and peace.

Lois and all,
I am so sorry that Dr. Don is gone. It seems that so many of the great people in my life have left me. It will not be the same at the cabin without him. Lois, you and Don knew how to live, You raised a great family and had fun doing it. I'm glad I had the chance to visit at Crosaires. Don seemed really good that day. Lois, take care of yourself.
I will try to see you all before the service. Will need to shuffle some plans a bit.
Hugh
