We were saddened to hear of Doris' death. I have memories of her and her family from Baptist Tabernacle--playing basketball and softball, with Earl as coach. My condolences to her family.
I have known Doris literally ALL of my life. It is my understanding that her Mom and my Mom shared a room after giving birth to us. I was born on May 29th. We both attended Shawnee High School and Baptist Tabernacle. I eventually lost touch with her, but will always remember her as a "forever" friend. May God bless her family.
So sorry to hear about your mom. We always enjoyed talking with both your mom and dad.
We were so blessed to have her as our neighbor for many years. It was sad to see her move away. Our kids grew up together and we had fun times as neighbors. She will be missed . God Bless her children and granchildren. In Christ The Brinley's
I just talked to her recently at JayC and couldn't believe it. She will be missed. My sympathies to all. Mary Ann
To Nana's Family: Thank you for sharing her with all of us and letting her be our "Nana", too. She took excellent care of my baby and we felt like we were a part of her family, too. I can't believe she's passed on...but I have a feeling she'll still be taking care of those she left behind one way or another. She just seemed to have THAT much love in her.
With love, compassion and sadness,
The Lucas Family (including "Baby Eric" as she always called him)
